NAHRIM
REDAC, USM conducted a visit to the laboratory of the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia, or NAHRIM together with the collaborators from Applied Science Private University (ASU), Jordan, Dr Rania Aburamadan and Dr Mohammad Younes
During my visit, we were warmly welcomed by Ir Azman bin Mat Jusoh, the Director of the Research Center for Water Resource and Climate Change, NAHRIM. During the visit, we received a comprehensive briefing from Ts. Nur Aiza, one of the leading researchers at NAHRIM. She walked us through the fascinating processes they have developed for treating and bottling harvested rainwater. It was truly impressive to see the level of detail and care that goes into ensuring the water quality. The harvested rainwater goes through specific filtration processes to meet the stringent standards set by the Ministry of Health before it can be bottled and made available for consumption. As part of the visit, we also had the chance to tour their incubator facility, where the rainwater is treated and prepared for bottling. Seeing firsthand the technology and innovation involved was inspiring and underscored the importance of integrating research and practical application.
